About our Agriculture coverage
Agriculture is one of the few sectors where a single input price or one poor season can reset an entire margin structure. Our coverage is built around that volatility: input pricing, yield economics, mechanisation rates and the regulatory pressure that increasingly decides what can be planted, sprayed or exported. Rather than treating farming as a single market, we segment it at the points in the chain where value actually changes hands.
The commercial centre of gravity has been moving away from land and towards technology and traceability. Precision application, satellite and drone monitoring, autonomous machinery and biological alternatives to conventional chemistry are all crossing from pilot into procurement, but at very different speeds by crop and by farm size. We size these by adoption stage and payback period rather than by vendor ambition.
Geography matters more here than in most sectors, because subsidy regimes, land tenure, irrigation availability and climate zones do not travel.
