About our Agriculture coverage

Agriculture is one of the few sectors where a single input price or one poor season can reset an entire margin structure. Our coverage is built around that volatility: input pricing, yield economics, mechanisation rates and the regulatory pressure that increasingly decides what can be planted, sprayed or exported. Rather than treating farming as a single market, we segment it at the points in the chain where value actually changes hands.

The commercial centre of gravity has been moving away from land and towards technology and traceability. Precision application, satellite and drone monitoring, autonomous machinery and biological alternatives to conventional chemistry are all crossing from pilot into procurement, but at very different speeds by crop and by farm size. We size these by adoption stage and payback period rather than by vendor ambition.

Geography matters more here than in most sectors, because subsidy regimes, land tenure, irrigation availability and climate zones do not travel. Where we publish country or regional agriculture reports we work from local cropping patterns, cooperative structures and route to market instead of scaling a global figure down to fit.

What we cover

  • Farm Inputs 1 report

Seed, fertiliser, crop protection and biologicals, with demand modelled against acreage, input price cycles and the regulatory withdrawal of older active ingredients.

  • Crop Production in development

Yield and acreage economics for row crops, horticulture and plantation crops, including irrigation dependence and post-harvest loss.

  • Dairy, poultry, aquaculture and feed, with attention to feed conversion economics, disease risk and shifting protein preference.

  • Agri Technology 3 reports

Precision agriculture, farm robotics, remote sensing, farm management software and controlled environment growing, sized by adoption stage rather than announcement.

  • Supply Chains in development

Grain handling, cold chain, agri logistics and commodity trade flows, including the storage and transport gaps that drive food loss.

  • Sustainability 1 report

Regenerative practice, carbon and water accounting, emissions reporting across agri-food supply chains and the certification economy built around them.

Who uses this research

Input manufacturers and distributors sizing territory potential, machinery and agri-tech vendors building adoption cases, processors and traders assessing supply risk, and investors underwriting agricultural assets where yield assumptions carry the whole return.

Every report is delivered with the underlying data tables, a defined methodology note and analyst access, so the assumptions can be interrogated rather than accepted. If the exact scope you need is not published here, we build commissioned studies on the same framework.
